"Milford Police add New Technology to Scan Driver's Licenses" - 2/2/2013
The Milford, MA Police Department recently added nine of our ID-1000 readers to their police cruisers! Having to call in an ID to verify the person's identity can be extremely time consuming, where our readers give a result in under five seconds. Advanced ID Detection in the News: "Fake ID Arrests Lead to Related Charge" - 8/2/2012
A man and a woman were arrested near Patriot Place in Foxboro, MA for trying to pass off a fake New Jersey ID as being real at Route 1 Liquor Mart. The man ran from the store and was later found by police with multiple credit cards containing fake names, new electronics, and expensive clothing. Police chief Edward O'Leary said that the AIDD-1000 reader used to catch the fake ID is "very sophisticated," and also claims, "It's been very good at picking up fake ID's." Read the full story here.
Advanced ID Detection in the News: "Youth Leaders, Police Unite to Curb Widespread Underage Drinking" - 7/20/2012
The Martha's Vineyard restaurant and bar scene has been cracking down on fake ID use all over the island! Before the island had started using our Advanced ID Detection system, six or seven establishments failed underage drinking checks by the police. Now that word of our system has spread around among the locals only three establishments failed, none of which own our forensic ID verification system. Amy Look, owner of Al's Package Store in Edgartown said, “It detects all kinds of stuff, so it’s a whole lot easier,” and, “It’s hard to detect a fake ID if you don’t have the machine.” Bartender at the Seafood Shanty, Jasmine Godek, stated, “It’s just easier, it kind of a gives a peace of mind,” and, “We’re not worried about the IDs.” The article also mentions that kids even as young as seventeen have been caught by the system with fake ID's. Advanced ID Detection in the News: "Funny Money – Tip from Trooper Nets Counterfeit Cash" - 7/14/2012
The AIDD Review function has already shown its incredible use at Busa Liquors in Burlington, Massachusetts! A woman tried to buy liquor with a one hundred dollar bill which was later found to be counterfeit. Since her ID was scanned by the AIDD-1000 reader in use at the store, her license information could easily be found. By identifying the suspect, police arrested her and found another $2900 in counterfeit hundred dollar bills in her black Nissan. Since identifying the suspect, over $7000 in counterfeit money has been recovered! Advanced ID Detection in the News: "Beach Haven On The Lookout For Bogus Identifications" - 7/10/2012
In only its second week of use by the Beach Haven police department, the Advanced ID Detection system is proving to be the best system out there! Recently used at The Ketch Bar and Restaurant in Beach Haven, NJ, it helped to catch four fake licenses in use at the establishment. Troy Sarro, Head of Security at the Sea Shell in Beach Haven stated, "We had been looking for years for a system that was this good," he said. "One demonstration and it kind of sold itself." We're helping the Beach Haven, NJ police prevent underage drinking with one of our Visual AIDD forensic ID verification systems! Beach Haven Chief of Police Kevin Kohler said, “This system is necessary and will be an asset to the department. It will take the guess work out of trying to identify fake driver’s licenses.” Within 45 minutes of using the system at the Marlin Bar the police had already made an arrest, charging a young woman with trying to use a fake New York license to get into the bar. Advanced ID Detection in the News: "Illegal liquor sale triggers search for fake IDs" - 6/28/2012
McAloon's liquors in North Andover was recently found to have sold liquor to an underage buyer by accident. This incident led the owner of McAloon's liquors, Bill Buco, to purchase an AIDD-1000 system from Advanced ID Detection. Detective Daniel Cronin of North Andover stated that, "There’s a lot of good that has come out of this." The North Andover Police also have the AIDD-1000 system. Bill Buco adds, "I think we’re doing a good job and we’re pretty proactive," also nothing that he has confiscated three other fake ID's since he started using the system. Read the full article here.
